Crater Lake
The first place I shot astrophotography and a place I find myself visiting far more than other places in the PNW, and with good reason. It has an energy, a weight to it that you can feel, see, wherever you may be standing…day or night…eyes wide open or shut…Crater Lake will always amaze you every single time…
It’s grainy and nowhere near my best work, but this is the photo that started it all: my very first astrophotography shot, captured after a long hike to the Wizard Island lookout, alone in Crater Lake National Park with a couple cameras and an eagerness to capture something.
